You actually CAN’T just eat whatever you want…
I’M SORRY.
I know this isn’t the answer you want to hear, but its the truth you need to hear.
As I launch my new health coaching program, I’ve gotten a lot of “what exactly is intuitive eating?” and the answer depends on who you are talking to.
For many recovering from eating disorders, intuitive eating allows yourself to eat whatever you want when sensations and desires arise - let me be clear, yes to this.
Learning to let go of stressors surrounding certain foods in our brain and allowing ourselves to enjoy food is important. And a massive ~part~ of my health coaching program, but it’s not everything.
My version of intuitive eating hits differently.
It makes you feel even more empowered, I promise.
In this version of intuitive eating we learn to understand what our body is talking to us about, and how we individually respond to those reactions.
Knowledge is power, and having this unwavering confidence in understanding your body will make you feel empowered.
You’ll hear it a million times over from me - you put cake in front of me, I’m eating it. And LOVING it by the way. Some call me a baked goods guru.
I have gone months where I have eaten a baked good every. single. day. Cake, cookies, little sweet treats, you name it - all because I restricted those from my life for so long and I said “no more!” - and guess what?
I felt like utter sh!t physically.
And my mental health wasn’t exactly at it’s peak either.
But it’s okay, we listen. We don’t judge.
So I listened, once again, to my unhappiness. I saw it as a different depth of unhappiness that I was facing when I was in severe restriction mode, and I shifted once again. Because I was tired of not feeling just plain GOOD.
Developing a deep sense of self awareness is part of the journey to living guilt free and intuitively. Understanding when your body isn’t at its best.
In this state of self awareness, you begin to understand what foods and fitness your body thrives on. Once you understand, you curate a lifestyle meant FOR YOU, no one else.
The system we develop will work best for your skin, your digestion, your energy levels, and your overall lifestyle. Through my program, you gain the tools you need to understand what these responses mean and then how to move forward.
This method brings you into a full mental and emotional body experience. It will allow you to feel in control of how we live our lives, using our free will through knowledge and informed decisions.
It gives us freedom from living within someone else’s narrative and brings back the power to our bodies, how we feel, and the confidence to live our lives organically to what we need.
